"man is free at the moment he wishes to be"

Happy Monday friends.

I want to start by saying, the past few weeks have been CRAZY for me.  I am still trying to understand if that's crazy in a good way or bad way, but crazy none the less.  The craziness has made doing even the most simple of tasks a little more difficult, but now I am towards the end of the mess (i hope) and I have a take-away.

I've learned that in order for me to move on from a rough situation, I have to find something to be grateful for within it. For example, I could be grateful for what it taught me.  I could be thankful for positive experiences.  I could even just be happy even for being resilient throughout, but until I find something to be grateful for, I remain stuck.  And I would argue that the only way to get "un-stuck" is to make peace with life, and choose to move on.

I got the quote, "Man is free at the moment he wishes to be" (Voltaire) tattooed when I was younger, and as I grow up, I get more clarity as to what that quote really means for me.  I truly find freedom in not being bogged down by past circumstances and I think showing gratitude is how you begin to let it go.

So to wrap this lil thang up, I want to say thank you for letting me process this, and I really hope it resonates.

Until next time,

OM
