Father's Day Gift Guide
I don't know if this is a unanimous feeling, but I think that dads are the hardest to shop for -- often because my dad never explicitly asks for anything. I think that rather than guessing on which golf club he'll love or what gadget he'll need, I have decided to stick with my expertise, and go for something fashion related.
When buying a gift for Father's Day, I think there are some important rules that you must take into consideration.
1. Don't force your style choices on your dad. Dads are usually not the most style adventurous, so don't push them where they're not trying to go.
2. Fit still matters. I am just going to say it, usually dads look terrible because their clothes don't fit. Don't contribute to the problem. Find out his real size and make sure you buy things that work.
3. Avoid buying things he already has. So I have been guilty of buying my dad a shirt that he already had, in a slightly different color because I was sure he would like it. This was clearly lazy, and I'm sure that came across.
Let's not leave dads out of the style loop. Who knows, your gift could be the start of a increasingly stylish life.
Until next time,
